ACROCAMP
Join us for the fifth annual AcroCamp in a brand new, beachfront beachfront location at Sparrow Lake Camp in the beautiful Muskokas. Prepare to channel your inner child: learn to play again, surrounded by nature, lakes and new friends. AcroTO will be teaming up once again with some of your favourite instructors from near & far for a 3 day Acro intensive community experience in the great outdoors.
This year we are thrilled to welcome back, one of our favourites, Courtney Julia (aka @driftingmaple) and Matt Berno (@me_berno) all the way from Australia, for an all day intermediate intensive on Friday, Sept 8. Don’t worry, he’ll be teaching all level workshops throughout the weekend as well. We’ve also got all your local favorites including Mike McKoy, @acrocodiles, Eric Liu, Arise True, Smiley Om and Reg trnasplanted from Ireland.
All levels are welcome as we will be offering both beginner and intermediate workshops to choose from. For the friday intensive, please check the pre-requisites below. No partner required, come make new Acro friends & meet new acro enthusiasts in your community to play with all year round. Workshops will vary from L-basing flows, washing machines, pops, whips, trio flows, group acro, SUP Acro, dance lifts, hand to hand, and even salsa. We will also be offering yoga, thai massage and you will have free time to play around on the camp and at the beach. Sunday includes a professional beach photo shoot to capture all the memories for the weekend and all your sweet new acro poses.
If you have any questions about pre-requisites, accommodation, etc, please contact us.

TEACHERS
ANYA TARABOULSY | FOUNDER
Since discovering Acro in 2015, while admiring it on the green at the Original Muscle beach in Santa Monica, it has become an integral part of her life and happiness. Anya's greatest passion is to share hers with others and introduce new people to acro.
Her biggest regret was never going to summer camp as a child, but one thing acro has taught her, is that it's never too late to play like a kid, so she decided to organize Acrocamp to make all her childhood dreams come true.
Courtney Julia
Courtney Julia has been travelling and teaching acro since 2017 and is currently based out of Asheville, North Carolina. She is excited to return to her Canadian roots and share her constantly evolving knowledge on Icarian and Standing skills. When Courtney and Berno get together, things get weird and there are a lot of giggles and potential for classic rock, so prepare yourself accordingly!
Mike McKoy
Mike Mckoy is an acro instructor based out of Canada. After getting certified through AcroYoga international’s acrofit program, he started assisting during their certification program for other instructors in Jamaica and the U.S. Being a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, Mike started incorporating acro into his program for clients and small groups. Mike now works with over 12 studios travelling around the U.S and Canada teaching acro workshops. He also teaches at various acro festivals in the U.S and Canada. He is passionate about inspiring people and helping others discover Acro.
JO BOT
Jo Bot has been a personal trainer for 15+ years and recently discovered yoga as part of her own training to address the instability caused by scoliosis, which began to affect her more and more as she aged. The improvements that she saw both physically and mentally inspired her to delve deeper into this journey. She recently completed the 250 hour Fast Track Yoga Teacher Training program with The Yoga Sanctuary and is excited to share all the knowledge gleaned from this wonderful program. Joanne completed the 100hr Teacher Training program with ACROYOGA 360 in June and now she finds joy sharing the benefits of a regular yoga practice and the playfulness of Acro yoga with everyone – including her mother and her grandmother!
Additional Instructors: Kyle Jones, Berkley Staite and more.
